OK, here's the short version

I went camping with some guys in West Virginia

We hiked in

Cooked some meat over the fire

And saw a snake. I'm not much on snake identification (it definitely wasn't a rattler or a coral snake), but I think it was a Northern Black Racer.

Kim went hiking with some girls in West Virginia

They camped next to a river that kept Kim up all night

Their hike was prettier than ours

So were the hike participants

Henry is learning new tricks

Megan and I built a bird house

She wanted to paint it purple

Kim's parents came to visit, and apparently we let them take all the pictures.

We went to Utah for my Grandpas' funeral. The only pictures I took were of four wheeling in the spectacular Utah mountains with my dad.

Henry got his first real hair cut. (I'm not mentioning the fact that Kim had already cut his hair once on her own without telling me about it -- despite the fact that when I did that with Megan she nearly left me.)

Kimmie took me to the D.C. United v. Real Salt Lake game for my birthday.

Our friend Neil got us awesome tickets sitting with the fan clubs, Barra Brava and the Screaming Eagles. Kim thought they should be re-named the Drunken Eagles.

They sounded like this the whole game.

In fact, they still sounded like this after the game, even though it ended in a scoreless tie with a team that was ranked far below them.

Alright, I officially think that we're caught up. I'll try not to get so behind again.

Just not feeling up to it

I'm really not. Every time I sit down at the computer, I think of the many possible topics I could and should post about, and I get too overwhelmed. I haven't even been able to upload the pictures from our recent trip to Utah -- they're still sitting in my camera, hanging from the coat rack by our front door.

So here's a stand-in photo that captures a lot of what I could write about -- birthdays, barbecues, spring, the great outdoors, cute kids, my job (JSI shirt), our garden, Washington D.C. (and the fact that we just went to Utah), and on and on.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it all...
